A lovely warmer day today, perfect for Tea and Chat. Plenty of scones, tea, and coffee with fruit cake and conversation. Topics covered ranged from disappearing chests to booking an early funeral with a bit of stripping thrown in. What a laugh!
A cold wet Tuesday morning at Marlene’s home in Wootton was enjoyed by us all over a coffee tea and two very nice cakes. We talked about WI meeting, craft club, and the outing to our Christmas dinner and much more.
Members are always welcome to come along to these enjoyable tea and chats at members homes. It gives us all time to chat and get to know other ladies from our Local WI and put the world to right over a cuppa.
The tea and chat for June was held at the home of Mary Lavery when eleven members attended. What a beautiful sunny morning which meant we were able to sit outside and enjoy Mary’s beautiful, pretty garden. I always enjoy going to Creekside’s monthly tea and chat as it is a time to relax and also get to know newer members better.
What a lovely, happy time we had and thanks go to Mary for being our host. We really do appreciate those of our members who are able and prepared to have us visit.
When there is a howling gale, rain batters the windows and the temperature is beginning to fall, tea or coffee, freshly baked cake and scones in a warm room with good company is a great pick me up. Well done ladies for braving the weather today.
Ten members shared lifts to Linda Sheasby’s home in Shanklin for a very enjoyable morning, with plenty of chat and laughter whilst enjoying tea, coffee and biscuits. After a happy two hours everyone made their way home. Do feel free to support the next coffee morning, or hold one yourself, they are a lot of fun.
